Beauty Blush Return & Refund Policy

Welcome to Beauty Blush. We want you to love your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights and responsibilities when purchasing from Beauty Blush and is designed to comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and applicable South African consumer laws.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to this policy.


1. General Information

Beauty Blush is an online beauty and personal care store operating on a dropshipping model. Certain products may be shipped directly from our local or international suppliers.

Because many of our products are personal-use beauty items, hygiene and safety regulations apply to certain returns.


2. Your Rights Under South African Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or replaces any rights you may have under South African consumer protection laws.

If a product is defective, damaged, unsafe, not as described, or not fit for its intended purpose, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the CPA.


3. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period for Online Purchases

In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (“ECTA”), customers may cancel eligible online orders within 7 days after receiving the goods.

Conditions:

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.
  • Hygiene-sensitive items may not qualify for return once opened.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, incorrect, or damaged.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Beauty Blush reserves the right to inspect returned items before approving a refund.


4. Defective, Damaged, Incorrect, or Faulty Products

If you receive a product that is:

  • defective,
  • damaged during delivery,
  • materially different from what was ordered, or
  • missing parts,

please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To process your claim, we may require:

  • your order number,
  • clear photographs or videos of the item and packaging,
  • a description of the issue.

Where applicable and in accordance with the CPA, Beauty Blush may:

  • replace the item,
  • repair the item where appropriate, or
  • issue a refund.

Refunds or replacements will not be issued for damage caused by misuse, improper handling, negligence, unauthorized alterations, or failure to follow product instructions.


5. Hygiene & Non-Returnable Items

For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, the following items are generally non-returnable once opened, used, or unsealed:

  • makeup products,
  • skincare products,
  • beauty tools used on the skin,
  • personal care products,
  • cosmetic applicators,
  • intimate or sanitary items,
  • sale or clearance items,
  • gift cards.

Beauty Blush reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with hygiene standards.


6. Change-of-Mind Returns

We do not generally offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • change of mind,
  • incorrect product selection by the customer,
  • dissatisfaction with personal preference items,
  • delays caused by customs, couriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

At our discretion, eligible unused items may be accepted for store credit only.

Approved returns must:

  • be unused,
  • be in original packaging,
  • include all accessories and inserts,
  • show no signs of wear, damage, or tampering.

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the customer’s responsibility.


7. Processing Times

Once your return is approved and received:

  • inspections may take 3–7 business days,
  • approved refunds may take 5–10 business days to reflect,
  • replacement delivery times may vary depending on supplier availability.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.

Beauty Blush is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment providers, or courier services.


8. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before processing or dispatch.

Once an order has been processed, packed, or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Beauty Blush reserves the right to charge reasonable administrative or processing fees for approved cancellations where permitted by law.


9. Delivery Issues & Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

Beauty Blush will not be liable for:

  • failed deliveries caused by incorrect addresses,
  • unclaimed parcels,
  • delays caused by courier companies,
  • customs delays or import inspections.

If a parcel is returned due to incorrect customer information, additional shipping charges may apply before reshipment.


10. Refused Deliveries

If a customer refuses delivery of an order without a valid legal reason:

  • original shipping costs will not be refunded,
  • return courier fees may be deducted from any approved refund,
  • additional handling fees may apply.

11. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

Beauty Blush reserves the right to dispute fraudulent or abusive chargebacks.

Customers agree to contact Beauty Blush first to attempt resolution before initiating a chargeback with their payment provider.

False claims regarding non-delivery, unauthorized transactions, or item condition may be investigated.

Beauty Blush may refuse future orders from customers suspected of abuse, fraud, or policy violations.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:

  • Beauty Blush shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
  • product results may vary between individuals,
  • customers are responsible for reviewing product ingredients and usage instructions before use.

Customers with allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions should perform appropriate patch testing or consult a qualified healthcare professional before using beauty products.


13. Supplier & Product Availability

As a dropshipping business, certain products may occasionally become unavailable after an order is placed.

If this occurs, Beauty Blush reserves the right to:

  • cancel the order and issue a refund, or
  • offer a suitable alternative product.

14. Promotions, Bundles & Free Gifts

Where a refund is requested for an order that included:

  • promotional discounts,
  • bundled pricing,
  • free gifts,

Beauty Blush reserves the right to:

  • adjust the refund amount to reflect the actual value received,
  • require free gifts to be returned unused,
  • deduct the retail value of non-returned promotional items.
